ARAGON FARM

Aragon Romneys are run by Pauline Skinner and her son Peter at Sissinghurst in Kent.

 

The flock was founded by Hugh and Pauline. Hugh was a veterinary surgeon and sheep specialist and was educated at Cambridge University where he was inspired by the work of Doctors Owen and Polge on the development of the Cambridge sheep. Using this knowledge, and with thirty years of recording, he raised the prolificacy and the performance of the Aragon Romney flock, as measured by Signet/MLC, to a higher level than any other in the country. Hugh passed away in 2022 leaving a strong flock which the family continues to run.
